I am a Ph.D. student and Instructor of Record in the Department of Religion at The University of Georgia. My research interests include the history of witch trials in Scotland, as well as illegal trials for witchcraft in the Southeastern US. My dissertation topic focuses on why women are leaving Institutional Christianity to practice witchcraft, how they deconstruct their religious upbringing, and how they create new spiritual meaning in their lives.
